Landscape Team Member-Equipment Operator

Coldwater Landscapes is a leading provider of high-quality landscaping services, known for our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves executing a variety of physical landscaping tasks under the guidance of the Crew Foreman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for utilizing a range of tools and equipment to complete projects efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our landscaping projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned tasks by the Team Leader, ensuring work meets company standards.
• Prepare job sites before project commencement.
• Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely, including chainsaws, jackhammers, and drills.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete as needed.
• Assist in constructing walkways, fences, decks, and posts.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Excavate ditches or trenches for landscape projects.
• Conduct land clearing activities manually or with heavy equipment.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment for projects.
• Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
• Assist the Team Leader with various job-related tasks.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and project specifications.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in lawn care or landscaping.
• 1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, and kneel, as well as frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. The position involves regular exposure to various weather conditions and potential physical hazards, including noise, fumes, and dirt due to equipment operation. The role requires routine use of heavy machinery and landscaping tools, along with frequent local, day travel.
