This is a complex administrative, stenographic, office management position, involving assistant to the Fire Chief, and all Officers within fire department. Assists the Fire Chief and Officers by making routine interpretations, refers unusual cases to Fire Chief. Incumbent is immediate supervisor of personnel performing similar responsibilities. Organizes and manages the day-to-day operation of the fire department, while exercising good customer service and promoting employer relations. Reports directly to the Fire Chief.
